Privacy policy
Effective Oct 17, 2026.
What we collect
- Browsing: the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads or tracking scripts. ZIP lookups happen in your browser.
- Hosting: the site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Live data: ZIP pages ask our server for soil and weather data for that ZIP; we fetch the forecast from the National Weather Service by location, without any personal data.
- The Dial newsletter: if you sign up, your email address and ZIP code go to Kit (ConvertKit), our email provider, to send The Dial. Kit sends a confirmation email first. See Kit's privacy policy.
How we use it
Only to send The Dial (weekly yard timing plus frost and soil alerts for your ZIP). We don't sell or rent your information or share it except with the providers above.
Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your email and ZIP deleted, write to us at the address below.
Retailer links
Guide pages link to retailer websites. Once you leave this site, the retailer's privacy policy applies, and if we later join affiliate programs, those retailers or networks (such as Awin) may use cookies on their sites to credit referrals. See the affiliate disclosure.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post any changes here with a new effective date.
